I believe it takes a certain type of person to reach 'Principal'
Perhaps you met the same one as me!
Ours was confused between Art and Industrial Design so he believed that a Fine Arts Dept. should be able to produce ceramic W.C. pans in an artistic manner!
Whoops ! This was'nt supposed to appear , grand daughter has been trying to improve my use of photos with the computer, it obviously has'nt happened !!! Oh well, it can stay now, thank' s for the comments !
Jim, the panel containg the knots is 18" x 9", o.a. frame 24" x 15".
Sam, I don't think that centre panel would have served as a soundboard !!!
Steph, it was made as an ironic statement to the Principal of a college I worked in, who insisted that the construction department of which I was a member "were not artisic in any way" Hence the (perhaps) rude title ?
John I would have to disagree with that Principal. for me the two has always been the something. this is beautiful.
Lovely artwork John Henry

I love knot hole in wood, this is beautiful JH and very creative.

Silly boy, on the back of course!, 'angin on a 'ook in the wall !
