Thanks friend ! Five years of apprenticeship, and my indentures state " no frequenting of betting shops, no imbibing of strong liquor, and no consorting with loose women", all there in black and white, and of course I kept to it in every detail !!! ( my grandkids fall about laughing when they read 'em). I got many a clout alongside the ear in gaining those skills.
best wishes

Found it! It looks outstanding. You do great work and you should be very proud of your skills! Thanks for mentioning the pecan...it's as pretty as any wood I've seen in a long time.
That paticular lute is shown 'as finished' somehere in my pics, if you have a bit of time to trawl thro 'em you will find others taken duringits construction. I was pleased with it, and it looks good and plays well, not by me I would add, but by my eldest son, who is a fine musician, he plays guitar, flute, violin, piano, organ and has a fine singing voice with perfect pitch (he will come into the house while I am playing and remark that I am a few cents sharp ,or flat, and he's to big to slap, lol) , but as his taste in music runs very definately in the classical vein I have not been able to persuade him to play either type of dulcimer ! Love that pecan top!

wow
John Henry I literally started to drool when I saw your lute. Beautiful work as usual. I must get to the UK to see it in person.
