Thanks Peter!!! I'm still a beginner but I keep trying. Hopefully with more practice I'll be able to smooth out the rough edges of my playing . The process is definitely fun. Yes, I love the Prichard Kevin made for me. He did a great job!
Hi Patty, just found this one while browsing the board. Congrats on your Prichard replica! Your Liza Jane sounds great on it! Could lead me to do more noter-drone playing some day...
Cindi, I used a regular pick on this which I broke yesterday . I better get busy with making my quills. Don, thanks for the advice on using sandpaper!!! Now I need to find my husband's stash of Turkey feathers
Robin, I haven't tried a quill yet. The goose quills I have are a bit worn. I think I'll take a couple of turkey feathers my husband has and make some new ones. If he'll still let me have them
Thank you all!!! You truly are friends . Thanks Rob for showing me how to tune wooden pegs! Gayle I may still get that Spam if Jim and Rob have their way, lol. Cheryl when I saw you with the Thomas that pretty much made up my mind on the type of dulcimer I wanted to get. Robin I do like that old timely sound. James thanks for watching. JK and KK thanks for your instruction. John, I don't have that pain in my elbow joint anymore. If you see anything that I can do to improve please tell me I'm all ears. I want to learn

Your new beauty has a great old-timely sound, Patty! Happy strummin'!
Thank you all for your kind comments. I feel like I didn't do justice to the Prichard. I kept messing up and this was the best I could do for today. George, you gave me the courage to keep trying. I appreciate you posting your videos. If I don't see you at SU this year I'll miss you. Rick, I used a Fender triangle pick and a dowel noter. I'm sure you'll have fun with your Prichard. I forgot to mention tuning, sorry, I was in 155 DAA.
