Thank you Maryann, I'm pleased with it ! (glad to see that your photos show evidence of wear on some noters, can I assume that you are one of 'the chosen people? lol .)
Thanks Jergen ! It is an 'Ebony' Sprit Wood Dye, from the extensive 'Liberon' range of products, had some left over from a previous job. It's easy to apply, I rubbed it on with a rag, and then before it was properly drydid some more rubbing on selected spotsto give an illusion of wear from handling. It is formulated to allow the grain to show though, and could be waxed if required (I did'nt!) as when dry it has a natural sheen .
I forgot to mention that it has a 'solid' fretboard, and weighs in at 26 oz's. Presently strung with 0.013 plain steel strings, and a 0.022 nickle wound string, tuned DAd (for now?)
Instrument is constructed from' Poplar (Tulipwood) with a VSL of 28", fitted with staple type 'half' frets, arranged to a 'mean tone' pattern. It has 'fiddle' type overhang to front and back, the incised decoration to front and fretboard was formed using the 'bent nail' technique, and its heart soundholes are inverted , sending music directely to heaven ???
Thanks David, comment appreciated !

What sort of paint is this ? Looks great ! Sort of a modern classic instrument

Beautiful instrument!
Wow, it's really just gorgeous!
Was it easy to install the Perfection pegs?
That's a real beauty!
Another one to be proud of!
Let's hear it please!
