Hey thay's great Randy!I've heard Nick, my banjo playing friend, play that tune but I didn't know what it was called. I'll get him to teach me it so I can have a go at it on MD

Thx for watching and taking the time to comment my friends.Keigh I think I learned it from the Omaha old time fiddlers about 7 or 8 years ago...w/Jenni Wallace being the main source of tunes up there......but can't remember for sure. Some of those marches are weird like that huh? White Cockade is a march but I play it like for dress blues & ball gowns...and John Browns too. Those bagpipes & drums give the tunes a whole other rhythm.

Randy, Where did you learn it. I've only heard the 12th Louisiana String Band do it. They have it on their album "Southern Songs of Love and War". You do a really nice job on it.Though why it's called a "march" is beyond me. I can just see ladies in their ball gowns and soldiers in spiffed up uniforms doing more of a polka to it than marching. It's just too bright and light for a march.

Well Randy, you've done it again. Another great one. Don't think I had ever heard that before but I really like it. Thanks again for posting.
