Not discarded, JH... never! Your delightful epinette simply inspired me to have more than one! At the moment I have yours tuned to a Dorian mode tuning and it's sooo haunting and resonant... yours has a richer resonance than the pretty (and vain) new little sister.
Hope you are happy with the back to back Championship, sorry about being party poopers in relation to Grand Slam. No doubt they celebrated well into the night. Best wishes to you John, Val.
could you click follow me so that I could send you a PM?....I have some questions about your "Virginia style" dulcimer that you made. I just got a chance to play one of the originals and am interested in chatting a bit about yours.
JH you did the same thing I did - you though you clicked "approve followers" like it meant go ahead and approve them for you. But it means you have to approve them. So on your page you'll see all these people looking to be approved. Somehow unclick it when it comes up again.
John Henry, to add a youtube video in the new site, you need to copy/paste the entire URL of the YT video from your browser window . That includes the entire "http:" part. Don't use the "embed/share" feature within YT...just copy paste the whole address from your browser window. Hope im making it clear..? There are other ways, but I think that's the easiest way to add a youtube video now.
JH- I do understand that you are seeing your chatbar half cut off, and the top menu area too- this problem has to do with your computer/broswer display settings somehow- you'd have to get someone to help you with that. I guess what Im really asking is have you been ABLE to actually enter the chatrooms and chat yet? You should be able to click towards the lef tof the bar where it says "Chatrooms" and pick a room with people in it to 'enter' and chat with. Have you tried yet?
Here's a tip: on this new site, you will be adding your media stuff from your profile page. So, if you want to add a video, you go to your profile page and click on your page's Video TAB, or your Video module's little "show all" link. Either way gets you to YOUR fotmd videos, where you will see a large + (plus sign) button to add a new video...either youtube or vimeo. Same is true for adding audio, or photos, or Events.
Forums, however, can be added from the Forums area. And group discussions of course would be added when you are within the group.
Hey John Henry, I just was wondering- have you been able to get into the chatrooms yet? Let me know if you are having problems with that, we can maybe help get you on properly. Do you have access now to the chat bar, and can you log into a chatroom? xox
Thanks for the welcome John! Glad to hear there is a UK/European group. Colorado Springs, Lancs is a bit off the beaten track - about 4,500 miles off the beaten track in fact.
I do have a mountain dulcimer from the Mountain dulcimer shop that used to be in Manitou Springs and Cripple Creek. Bought it many years ago when I was at a mountain music festival in Manitou Springs. Never really learned to play it but am starting now.
Good to see you out and about John, best wishes to you and yours for the New Year. Val and Mary.
Hoping you have a cozy and lovely Christmas day, dear @john-henry . with hugs... Lisa
I'm sending a hug to you John Henry, from across the ocean...
John, I enjoyed your playing Veni, Veni, Emmanuel for the Advent calendar. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Couldn't figure out how to add a video on this new site. What a nuisance. Computer going down for a few days, going into withdrawal as we speak.Absolutely, I've been working on that one. It will be on uke. Thanks for the sweet comment.
